What Roofers Hotline is

Roofers Hotline is an independent advertising and referral service. We are not a roofing contractor and we do not perform, supervise, warrant or guarantee any roofing work. When you call or submit a request, we connect you with an independent roofing contractor in our network, and we are paid by that contractor or by the partners that route the call for the connection. Contractors are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, estimates and work. Verify any contractor's license with your state board before you hire.

What that means in plain words

Roofers Hotline is an advertising and referral service. The number on every page and the quote form reach independent roofing contractors who pay for that connection. Roofers Hotline does not perform, supervise or warrant roofing work and does not set the price you are quoted; it is not a roofing contractor, an insurance adjuster, an insurer or a lender. The service promises on our standards are conditions contractors accept in order to receive calls, and the contractor is responsible for keeping them. Verify any contractor's license with your state board before you hire; each state's lookup link is listed under that state.

Who is involved

Our call-routing partners operate the buyer program that roofing contractors join. They route each call or quote request to the contractor covering the caller's ZIP code and bill the contractor for it; your name, phone number, address and request details are shared with our call-routing partners and with that contractor for that purpose. The quote form on the get quotes page is hosted by our call-routing partner, and our call-tracking partner provides the phone numbers and the call recording. The contractors are independent roofing businesses in each metro area, and the list changes as contractors join and leave, so Roofers Hotline cannot name in advance who will call you back.

How Roofers Hotline is paid

Contractors, through our call-routing partners, pay Roofers Hotline for each qualified call or request routed to them. Roofers Hotline takes no percentage of the job and is paid when you reach a contractor, not when you buy a roof, so it has no reason to push a replacement you do not need. The contractor's price to you is the price it quotes anyone; the referral fee is a marketing cost, like a billboard or a search ad.

What you pay

Roofers Hotline never charges homeowners; the connection is free of charge to the homeowner. You pay the contractor, and only for work you agreed to in writing at the price on the written estimate. Any charge for an inspection is stated before it is booked. Phone and text charges from your own carrier may apply when you call or text.

Who answers and from what number

Calls are recorded for quality and consent records, and the greeting says so before anyone answers. Your call is routed to a contractor serving your ZIP code, and the callback comes from a local tracking number. The quote form states who may contact you: Roofers Hotline, our call-routing partners and up to four contractors serving your ZIP code.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any text, or use the do not contact page to revoke consent to calls and texts and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information. The request is honored within 10 business days and passed to our call-routing partners and to any contractor your request was already forwarded to.

If a contractor misbehaves

Email hello@roofershotline.com with the date, the ZIP code and what happened, and we reply with what was done. Licensing and workmanship complaints go to your state board, linked on every state page.
