Our standards
The same promises on every job, in every metro area.
Summarize this page with AI ChatGPT Google AI Copilot
Roofers Hotline is a number homeowners call once, so the service has to be the same in Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles. The six promises below apply to every call and every job, and each one has a plain test you can apply yourself. If a promise is not kept, the last section says what to do.
Our promises
-
Written estimate before any work starts
Every job begins with a written scope and price. Nothing starts on a verbal quote.
-
Deductibles are never waived or rebated
Nobody offers to pay, waive or rebate your insurance deductible. In Florida that is a felony; everywhere it is against our rules.
-
A callback, usually within one business day
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, and a roofer calls you back from a local number, usually within one business day.
-
Inspection photos
You get photos of what was found on the roof, so you can see what the estimate covers.
-
No pressure selling
No sign-today pricing and no door-to-door follow-ups. Take the estimate, compare it and decide in your own time.
-
Complaint handling
Email hello@roofershotline.com with the date and ZIP code if a promise here was not kept. We look into it and reply with what was done.
A written estimate before any work starts, in practice
The estimate lists the areas being worked on, the materials by name, the price, and anything that is excluded, such as decking replaced only if it is found rotten and priced per sheet. It arrives before any work beyond emergency tarping, and the tarping charge itself is stated before the tarp goes on. If anyone wants to start on a verbal number or a handshake, say no and ask for the paper; a roofer who keeps this promise will not mind. If you were asked to start without one, tell us through the contact page.
Deductibles are never waived or rebated, in practice
An insurance deductible is the part of a covered loss that you pay, and no roofer working through this number offers to pay it, waive it, rebate it or hide it inside an inflated estimate. In Florida that offer is insurance fraud, a third-degree felony under section 489.147, and other states punish it too. If you hear the offer, decline it, keep any written version of it, and send it to us with the date and ZIP code. The adjuster decides what the policy covers; the roofer's job is to document the damage and put the scope in writing.
Callbacks, usually within one business day, in practice
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After your call or quote request, a roofer calls you back from a local number, usually within one business day, so you hear from a person who can book the inspection rather than a queue. If that window passes with no call, call the number again and say that you are waiting on a callback, or email the date and ZIP code to hello@roofershotline.com so we can see what happened.
Inspection photos you can see, in practice
The inspection is done on the roof, not from the driveway, and the photos show you what was found: lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots, hail bruises, rusted flashing, soft decking. You can ask for the photos before you sign anything. If an estimate arrives without photos, ask for them. If they are refused, that is a promise not kept, and we want to know.
No pressure selling, in practice
There is no sign-today price, no price that disappears when the roofer leaves, and no door-to-door follow-up after the visit. The written estimate is yours to compare with others for as long as you need, and the decision to repair, replace or wait is yours. If you feel pushed on the phone or at the door, end the conversation. Tell us about it with the date and ZIP code so it can be dealt with.
Complaint handling, in practice
Email hello@roofershotline.com with the date of the call or visit, the ZIP code and what happened. Every complaint is read by a person, and the reply tells you what was done about it. Licensing complaints go to your state board, and the lookup and complaint link for every state is on that state's page. To stop any further calls or texts, use the do not contact page; the request is honored within 10 business days.
Before you sign
Ask for the license number where your state requires one and check it at the state lookup linked on every state page. Ask for the certificate of insurance, get the scope in writing, and keep the photos with the estimate. If anything on this page is not met, email hello@roofershotline.com.
